What’s the purpose of this website?

To provide a common online location where all Pagan entities in the Fox Valley/Green Bay area can advertise and acquire information.

There’s already a Facebook group created for this, isn’t this reinventing the wheel?

There is a closed FaceBook group where people on FaceBook can communicate (you must have an account on FaceBook and click the Join button to join the group).  However, not everyone is on FaceBook, and not all of those who are know how to use it fully.  Also, the FB page is a place to chat with other Pagans, where this website is a place to reference information.  If you’d like to chat with other Pagans in the Fox Valley area, then the Facebook page is the place to be.  I cross post events on the Facebook group as I have time (it is not an automated process). If you’d like to look up information on local groups, events and gatherings in one place, then this website has the most current information.  Think of this site as a Fox Valley Pagan 411 🙂

Also, personally, I don’t like to put all my eggs on one virtual basket.  Social media networks are businesses, and businesses change, go under or can be heavily influenced by algorithms based on political agendas (or bought by crazy billionaires).  Any data or pages on those sites can be changed, removed, censored, or disabled for multiple reasons without notice.  By owning the site on my paid account, I can be sure that data is backed up and ported to new medias when necessary.

Will information posted on the FaceBook group be posted here?

Because the FaceBook group is a closed group (content can only be viewed by members), I won’t transfer information from there to here without explicit permission from the author.

How do I find secret covens/groups?  Can you introduce me?

“Secret” covens and groups are as such because they choose to be.  While I am familiar with members of such groups in the area, I will not make connections to them unless they specifically request that I do so.  The best way to find groups like this is to make friends within the Pagan community, which can be done through attending public gatherings.  Once those groups know you exist, they can forge those connections with you themselves if they feel inclined.

Will my information be shared?

You are not required to give any personal information to utilize this website.  If you leave a comment, it can be seen by anyone that can view the site.
